Reflection - Summer Learning Journey

Sadly the Summer Learning Journey has come to an end. I had fun doing all the different activities and learning new things through out the activities. I learned a lot of new things like World Wild Fund helps our animals. It really surprised me on how countdown stopped using plastic because I usually go to Pak n Save. I am really sad to say goodbye to the Summer Learning Journey because its been a great experience. Through out these activities there is lots of things me and my family need to do to save the environment like using less plastic and looking after our nature. Of course and big thank you to Rachel and her team for creating this wonderful event. This event will definitely help me through my reading and writing.

Adoption - Summer Learning Journey

Today I am to write 3 chosen animals from the WWF page. This is a Symbolic adoption page where you can raise money for that animal and help it get feed and drink water. I have chosen three animals and am needed to write the difference and similarities about those animals.

• Snowy Owl
• Polar Bear
• Arctic Hare

Similarites: 

• All have white skin
• Live in snow
• All have fluffy fur

Difference:

• Different sizes
• One Flys, one Hops and one Walks
• Live in different places

Plastic - Summer Learning Journey

Today I am to write three things about what me and my family would do to help protect our planet. The first thing we would do to get rid of plastic is using reusable bags when we go shoping. Another thing we ould do is me and my family will pick a day of the week and on that day we would go out picking up rubbish. Our last choice is that we would make vissual posters of what could happen if we use plastic.

Restricted Access - Summer Learning Journey

Today I am to write my thoughts on the Machu Picchu. This is a mountain in Peru South America and only a amount of vistiers are allowed up there. I don't think this is a good idea because other people might not have enough time to wait like tourist they might of booked there plane early that they cant even get through the mountain. Everyone should have this chance because it is a beautiful place to explore and people might of took a amount of time just to get there.

The Plastic Pledge - Summer Learning Journey

Today I am to write down an explanation to my thoughts about how countdown stop using plastic. I think that this is a good idea to get rid of plastic bags because they can do so much harm to animals and they can also pollute the sea whcih isn't good for us. My brother Malo thinks the same as me because plastic free will definitely change our world.

Slogan - Summer Learning Journey

Today I am to imagine that I am working in the Forest and Bird Company. This company helps other organisations come up with another slogan. A slogan is a short phrase that they use for there brand. The Brand I wanted to do was Nike becaue I live there shoes. The slogan says " Go for It " because with a little imagination you can do anything. I have drawn the Nike logo myself.
