Duffy Books

Today Panmure Bridge School went to duffy assembly. At duffy assembly we all got out duffy books. The books I got was Tom gates Family,Freinds and Furry Creatures and Thea Stilton The frozen flasco. I can not wait to read these books in the weekands. I will predict that these book will be verry awsome and that I will enjoy them.

The Tunnel

Today I have crated a 5, 7, 10 writing DLO. I have wrote about The Tunnel. My Writing is a setting Discription. My setting in my writing is the Forest. I have created my writing to be very intersting and spooky.

Blogging Buddies

Today I have connected with a school called Karoro School. I choose to connect on a person called Miko. Miko is very new to blogging.  So far he has 12 blog post which is a really good effort. SO I made a blog comment of Miko's blog. I commented on his Transformation DLO.

Stephen Hawking

 This week LS2 has been learning about Stephen Hawking. Sadly Stephen Hawking passed away on the 14th of march 2018. This DLO shows who he was and why he was famous. In this task I focused on using My own words and attributing images. A fact about stephen hawking was that he was a really well known British Theoretical Physicist

5, 7, 10 Writing

Today I have wrote a character description about Emily. She is a girl who love to read. She was the smartest in her class. She would always come 1st in maths competitions. She had so many books it was like she was going to read dozens of books in a day.

Making Connections

Today I have filled in a DLO about a non-fiction story I have read. This story is called the Olympics. I learnt that Figure skating is a sport that has 2 people in it.

Lost Yet Found - Character Description

Today for writing I have made a Character discription about a boy named james.I made this by look at some example that have been shown to my and my Writing group Orakei. I had inclding in my Character Description Simple and Compound sentences.

5 Main Ideas

Today for reading Pounui has been doing the follow up. The follow up was 5 main ideas about the book Hard Ice, Soft Ice. On this DLO I worked with Mele. This book was based on the formation of Hail and Snow and also the difference of them. I found out that Hail has 2 layers, A clear layer and the second layer is a frosty layer. Another fact I found out was that snowflakes are very light but if a whole buch of snowflakes are together they can cause trouble.

Agent of Change

Today I have created a DLO about being an agent of chanage. We looked at how we could be agents of change in our own 2018 learning journey. I have added in my explanation on ways I can become an agent of change and what I can do. This will help me to set my goals for 2018.

Tech

Today LS2 went to Tamaki College for tech. We all went in the bus. When we got their we got seperated into our groups. I was in the yr 7 group. We have been doing Pewter Casting with Mr Grundy. The yr 7 group have created a drawing for anyone they choose. Right now we are up to cutting our drawings.I am up to waiting for mine to cool down from the heat of the pewter. I can't wait to see how my drawing will look like once its done.

Today I have completed one of my respect CARE awards. I have done a collage showcasing life

at PBS. I have added in pictures and the name to the activity I have done. I am really close to getting my respect bage.
