Reading Presentation

This week as apart of our reading Mele and I have been learning about Terrible Tudors. Together we have created a presentation about the Kings and Queens of England. Today we got the chance to present our DLO to the class. The person I found most interesting was King Henry VII ( Eight ) because it was very shocking to find out that he had 6 wives and he would divorce, behead or kill his own wives until he got a son. The reason he wanted a son was because he wanted to keep the Tudor line going. Once he had got his very own son which was Edward VI ( Six ), he sadly passed away at the age of 16 due to a disease called tuberculosis which is an infection on the lungs. In total he had 2 girls and 1 son. With his other wives he wasn't able to have children. The only wife that had survived was Catherine Parr ( Queen Consort of England ), this was also his last wife.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

 This week Villami, Matthew, Sakina and I worked together to create a DLO of a story called "Te Tiriti o Waitangi". In other words The Treaty of Waitangi. For this task we first read the story then moved on to doing the DLO. For this DLO we did a few reading activities which were vocabulary, summaries and seeing it from both sides. For the seeing it from both sides we needed to choose a question from the learning conversation slide.
