Tech
This week for Tech the year 8B have had another great session back at tech. We have all started on painting out clocks. The clocks were created from a laser machine which was planned out from a computar. The clocks were made out of wood. We all first drawed or designs and started choosing our colours to start of the painting. We all had different sized clocks which made it intersting. We saw shapes like cats, birds and more. The wood kinda smelt like burnt fire that had just been washed out with water. The photo that had been took shows a photo of Chavda and I choosing our colours for painting. During today's lesson I learnt the next time I should start thinking abou blending my colours first to creae the colour I want then just going with the original colour. To be able to blend colours you get a equal amount of each colour and blend but if one colour is light and the other is dark then you will need to add more of the light colour and add a hint of the darker colour. This is how you blend any type of colours. I usally use these techniques in Painting, Colouring and more.

Tech Reflection
Today it was another great session back at Tech. The year 8A have been creating art designs of an apple using different types of colours like oil pastels and chalk pastels. The picture on the top shows a photo of our art. I learnt how to blend in well with the chalk pastel and the oil pastel. To blend in well with the chalk pastel you need to use the scissors to scrap of some chalk pastel. Then use a cotton ball to dab some shavings and use the colour on the apple. Start blending in with other colours such as orange and yellow. If you do get the colour over the outline just rub it out with a rubber. It works really well.

Technology Lesson 1
This week for tech it was our first say back. The Year 7 are with Mr Grundy, Year 8A is with Mrs Ferguson and the Year 8B is doing metal. I am in Year 8A and with Mrs Ferguson we are creating clocks. This DLO shows all the different type of clocks that I have found. Creating this DLO it gives me different ides on what type of clock I want to make for a specific person.
Design Brief
What
What type of shape are you going to design?
What type of clock do you need?
Who
Who are you going to design a clock for?
Where
Where are you going to use the clock?
Why
Why do you need a clock?
Why are you giving the clock to this person?
How
How is the clock going to be made?
How is the clock going to be designed?
How long will it take to make?
On this DLO it shows questions that reflects on what type of clock we are going to use, The design you are using and who you are going to make it for. We all communicated with each other the figure out some questions.

Colour Theory
Today at Tech with Miss Ferguson we have been learning abiut Colour Theory. We got to create logos two times. I decided to do the Tik Tok Logo. O the oictures it shows that one is orages and a bluish yellow and on the other one it is blue and purple. This is called Analogous and Opposite Complementary. Analogous means next to each other and Opposite Complementary means the opposite of that colour. We looked at graphs that showed us the opposite colour of a could for example if I colourd my logo purple my other drawng would be yellow becasuse yellow would be the Opposite Complementary and Purple would be the Analogous. The DLO was another example of the colours theory.

Tech At Tamaki College
Today I have been working on my Phone Holder. I have been thinking of doing a very nice and simple design. I really like how it turned out. The red rectangle will be the shape that blocks the phone from falling and the cylinder will be the part that has the phone to lean on something. I created this on TinkerCad and got some ideas from our teacher Ms Ferguson.

Tech
Today at tech I am up to creating my Tinkercad design. I have drawed out the phone holders I chooose to use. My favourite one is the pop socket and the Heart shape holder. I used the site Thingyverse to find my ideas. Thingycad is a site that show 3D shapes. It is a good site to use for Tinkercad.

Design Models
Today at tech with Mrs Ferguson we have been making models of phones stands. We used plastecine. I thought of different designs to create phone stands. I done three models. My favourite model was the hear one because I thought it was cool. How does this design support my phone? It supports it by holding the phone to make sure it won't fall forwards. I think out of all the phone stands Alex's chair case is the most smartest and coolest. How can you improve it? I would improve it by making my case look more better by molding it properly.
