As long as a string is a phrase but it is an expression

Example :

My teacher said,

Don't ever use the word marvellous

It doesn't mean a thing

Try...  Heavenly, Suburb, Wonderful,

Ethereal, Alien, Ghostly,

Supernatural, Otherworldly and Weird

Really the choice is as long as a string -

But please just remember this

Never use the word marvellous

Because it just doesn't mean a thing.

Today for Wrting Oaraki have been doing peoms. Today I have created a Google Doc that shows synonyms, Meanning, Example and Poetry. For synonym I have added in 5 synonyms for the word nice. I thendone the meaning to the phrase " As long as a string ".  For example  How tall is the wall, As long as a string. I lastly created my own poem which is based on the word Marvellous.

Analysing a Print Advertisement:

What product or service is being advertised?

Boat or Water

Who might be interested in the product or service? Who is it trying to attract? Young people? Old people? Male? Female?

People who like to go boating at the sea.

Is there a catchy phrase or slogan for the product? If so, what is it?

There is no catchphrase but to make it up it  .

Boats Boats swim around Have some fun and go around… Look at it, don't have a frown and make sure you don't drown :D

What message is the advertisement trying to say about the product?

The advertisement is trying to tell people to go on a boat and go around the sea.

How does the language or image used grab the reader’s attention?

A person in the boat boating around the sea because some people haven’t seen someone go on a boat and boat around the sea.

How may the advertisement make the user feel?

Fun and catchy.

LI: To reconise and understand the purpose of advertisment. Today we done some of writing. What we had to do was we had to get into a group of threr or get with a patner. I had a group. In my group there was Sakina,Mele and me. What we had to do was go on this site were it showed 7 advertisment. Then we had to finish all of those advertisment and then choose one of our favourites. Mine was the one were there was a hole in the sea.
