Tables Conga

This for maths we have been doing times tables. I am learning my 4 times tables this week. I went on transum and clicked on times tables. I am doing day 2 which is Table legs,Tables Dash and Tables conga. As you can see I choose to do Tables conga. Tables conga is a game where you can pick imes tables and you have to use your arrows to move your little bug and you have to collect all the numbers you have choose for times tables.

Winter Olympics Comparison

Today for Inquiry Me and Fraidon created a venn Diagram about the winter olympics.We had read a site that had info and had to add in the venn diagram info that was based form the other google drawing we have done.

Blog Post Record

 

This weeks task was about my blog. I had to create a blog post record on a google sheet and write in the year and the amount of blog post I done that year. Then we had to create a graph and customize it. After that I created a drawing and renamed it Blog Post Analysis. In my Blog post Analysis I added in my blurb,What I can achieve,Name,L.I and Tittle.I also made a video to show how I made the graph and where to find the year and posts.

Place Value Strategy

Today for maths we have been leaning about place values. But this time we have been doing subtraction. I made a DLO with a subtraction problem on it, Then made a video showing how to solve it. Heres how to solve it. First you have to write the first 2 numbers down. Then subtract the ones,tens and hundreds. After that you have to add all your answers together to get your answer for your problem.

Softball - Kiwi Sport

Today for Softball we have been doing some practise for softball.What we done was we found a partner to practist with. My Partner was Fui.We first started of with throwwing and bcatching. We learn moves with that. So the person who was throwing had to have their writing hand at the back, Their left leg back with their right leg in the front. Then when your ready throw. With the person that is going to catch it your hands has to have butterfly hands.Then once we practised we got to get further away from our partner.Then we had to do the ecat same thing but with us acting like monkadileabb. Which was you acting like a monkey and when the ball come you have to catch it like when a crocadile closes it's mouth when it catches something. Lastly the crab because your moving side to side if your partner throws it left or right.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can we have been learning about Fairplay & Fairness.But our theme was Positive Relationship.We first played our enegizer. Our enegizer game was fun. WHat we done was we got into a circle and Mr Mat and Mr Latu gave us each a number up to 4. SO if we got our number called out we had to speed walk around the circle back to our spots and stand in a hula hoop before other team mates too. If your the last one standing your out.Our next game was a game where we had to split up. The girls and fraidon were in one team and their was another team of boys. So one group had to get up while the other team pick 3 people to go and tag.We had to tag everyone fast to win. Affonsos team won and  unfortunatly My team lost for 4 minutes.Lastly we done GKQ

Whakautauki

Today LS2 have been doing their Whakautauki.LS2 created a DLO about our school Whakautauki.We could work in partners if we wanted to. My Partner was fui. Together we found a background that would match the Whakautauki. Then we both added some pictures. Finally we both wrote the explanation

Olympic Value

Today Fraidon,Sky and I worked on our Olympic and PBS Values. We had a link which was based on the Olympic Motto. Then we had got infomation from that link and filled it in the squares that needed that information. For example I found the Olympic values. What I did was I went back on that site and found the Olympic values. We also did this to the PBS squares.

Reciprocal Reading

Today for reading Ponui group were doing Reciproical Reading. Miki was the first leader. Then we went around. We were reading a book called Consturcting Big Air. We went through the book and found some words we didn't understand. We also did some predicting, and summarising. For the year 7 it was their first time doing reading this way.

Chinese New Year Explanation

Why is the chinese new year a very old tradition?

Kung Hei Fat Choi means Happy New Year in Chinese. Every year Chinese New Year is held in China and many different countries. It starts on a new moon. So, this year it started on February 16th.

On February 16th Chinese New Year for 2018 began. The Chinese people celebrate with a traditional feast and end it with a lantern festival. Each year is named after an animal. To decide the order of the animals, the animals had a race to see which animal will be the Animal of the Year. For 2018 the animal that we have is a Dog. This is also the animal for 2006 / 1994 / 1982 /1970 and 1958. The Dog has three meanings which are responsibility, being serious, it also represents being loyal.

Chinese New Year finishes after 15 days. So since Chinese New Year started February 16th this year it will finish on the 2nd of March. On the last day they have a lantern festival. In the lantern festival they have many lanterns in different shapes. They also make the lantern fly away or make it float on the water. For 2018 they are going to hold the Lantern Festival in Auckland at the Domain.

Chinese New Year starts on the first day of a new moon, this year it started on February 16th. Every year Chinese New Year is held in China and in many other different countries, once again Kung Hei Fat Choi which means Happy New Year in Chinese.

This week for writing we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We watched a video that had some information about Chinese New Year. I actually found out a lot of things about Chinese New Year. My partner was Sky. We created a explanation about Chinese New Year. Mrs Anderson also taught us a new language structure which was TIIC. T meant Title, I meant Introduction, I meant Information and C meant Conclusion. Using this will help me plan my ideas when I am writing an explanation.

Summer Learning Journey

This week friday was assembley. We had Rachel and the Next foundation come over to present the prizes and certificates. I have particapated. I tryed my best to post every day. Their was 50 people that got certificates. This was amazing and Rachel said that is the highest amount of people in Panmure bridge to get that much people. Next came the spot prizes. First place was Angela. She got a Netball ,Next Foundation T-Shirt,Flag and her certificate. The second spot prize went to Fau.She got the same thing but a rugby ball instead. Last were the 1,2,3 places. Thrid place went to Me.I was super shoocked when I came third. When I heard my name I knew I tryed my best and worked hard. Second Place went to ofa. 1st place went to Alex and Mele. They both had a tie.

Tech

This week friday was Tech. It was my first time ever to tech and I enjoyed it a lot. So we first got into the bus. When we got at Tamaki College we got into our groups. I was in the year 7 groups. Our techer ws Mr Grundy but we had to call him Sir. We learnt about making a necklace. We could do any shape. But... We had to fill in a DlO with the people we wanna do the necklace for. We had to write down their name.( We had to pick 4 people). THen we had to add in 4 things they like to do or what they are good at. After we watcher Sir create a fish. It was super cool and I learnt some new facts their like pewtur metal. When you melt the metal and if it touches you it will still keep burning it woun't be like touching a iron it stops after but the metal keeps burning and once it stops you will have to remove the solid metal. I had so much fun on my first day back at tech.

Thank you Letter - Respect Award

This week I have made a letter to Mrs Anderson. This was one of my task for Respect. I just wanted to say Thank you again Mrs Anderson for the great learning you have taught me. This week I have acutally learnt something in your Maths group. Thank you

Place Values Strategy

This week for maths we are learning about Place Values. We are all in new groups for 2018. I'm in Mrs Anderson's groups for maths. We learnt how to add up strategies with place values. I actually learnt something new this week. I never knew you could add with place values. But now I know and will be using it for more strategy in future. What I had to do was I had to find a partner. My partner was Mele. Then we played a game called superfingers. What you need to play this game is a white board and a white board marker and 2 dice for you and you partner. Then you have to do is to roll the dice.The number you get is the number you have to add or multiply. You have to say the answer before your partner does. Once you say the right answer before your partner you have to cross out the letter from the word super fingers. First one to cross all the letters wins. This game was really fun. Then we had to create a DLO with a problem and a video to show how to work it out.

Kiwi Can

This week was the first week nof kiwi can. We have new kiwi can leaders this year. They are Ms Lilly and Mr Mat. Thye are both very kind and very funny Leaders.Today we did skits. We had to do a skit on Encouragement. We got split up into 3 groups. My Groups plan was oganized by Mr Mat. The 3 boys had to be tough boys. Me and Chavda were the girls. Brooklyn was the problem stopper and Joshua V was the Principal. The next activicty we did was another game. We had 2 teams the bibs team and the non bibs team. THe non bibs team worked really well so they one their games. This game had a ball. One team had the ball. It is like netball you can't move with the ball once you got it in your hands.With the ball you have to tag someone with the ball in the other team.

My Morning Routine

My Morning Routine

My Morning routine is really simple for me. I have to have a morning routine so that it can help me be organized Monday to Friday, for my school week.

When my mum wakes me up she tells me straight away to go and get ready. So first I take a bath. Then I go to the sink to brush my teeth. I get out of the bathroom and dry myself up so then I can put my uniform on. As soon as I do that I start to dry my hair so then I can tie it up. After that I go and put my shoes and socks on and get my chromebook so then I can put it in my bag, with that my lunch too. I set my bag aside once I have everything in it.

Now it's time for me to eat breakfast. I get my bowl and put in 4 weet bix with milk. Then I put it in the microwave for 1 minute. I take it out and add sugar then mix that up. I pray for my food then eat. Sometimes I add in a little bit of butter. Which makes it taste even better. Once I'm done I put my bowl in the sink and my mum says it's time to go. Sometimes she would say that half way through my food.

Now I'm in the car on the way to drop off my mum. It's a long ride but it’s still alright. Once we’re there I say bye to my mum and we head off to school. At Panmure I usually see other people walking to their school. I get dropped off and say goodbye to my brother. While walking I meet up with my friend and we would talk about things. Then we go up to our classroom put our bags away and our chromebooks and say good morning to our teachers if we see them.

This is my morning routine. I have a morning routine because it really helps me to be ready every morning.

This week for Writing we had an explanation to do. We either got to write about how we walk to school or our Morning Routine.I done my morning routine because I don't walk to school anymore.My morning routine is really simple it seems long but its actually really simple and short.

Mascot Comparison

Today for inquiry Sky, Fraidon and I have been doing comparrisons. For comparrison number 2 we had to compare mascots. The 2018 mascot and another mascot form the WInter Olympics. Our group decided to do Neve and Gliz.Neve and Gliz are the mascots from 2016. The 2018 mascot we had to do was Soohorang. While finding info we came past something very funny that Soohorang got stuck in a door.

Comparison - 1924 and modern Winter Olympics

Today for Inquiry we have been learning about the  first ever Winter Olympics and the modern Olympics. First of all we watched a video and had to remember some of the sports that were played in that video. This was the 1924 Winter Olympics. We went thorough the sports and then Ms Kirkpatrick got us into groups. In my group there was Fraidon and Sky. We had to do a Venn Diagram. We had to compare the First Winter Olympics and the modern Olympics. It had to have the differences and the similarities.

Blog Post Analysis

This weeks task was about my blog. I had to create a blog post record on a google sheet and write in the year and the amount of blog post I done that year. Then we had to create a graph and customize it.For my first year of blogging I had a lot of blogs. I had about 244. For 2016 I didn't really do much. I only done about 116. But at least I got passed 100. 2017 was my favourite year. I almost got passed 2015 blog post but I needed 11 more blog posts. I had 233. This year I've just started but I did get some blog post done from the Summer Learning Journey. But this year I'm going to work hard and keep blogging all my work.
