Crossing the Tasman
For this activicty I got to learn about 4 men that corssed the tasman to get to australia to New Zealand. This was very intersting. I learnt that One of the men on board the Southern Cross airplane was a New Zealander named T.H. McWilliams. His job was to operate the radio in the airplane. Unfortunately, the radio stopped working shortly after take-off and the rain and ice were so heavy that the pilot, Kingsford Smith, couldn’t see out of his front windscreen. But they made it to christchurch intead of NZ.It was a long flight and it took 14 hours. I had to write a letter on how I'd feel when I landed saftley.

Hi Marieta,
ReplyDeleteYou letter is very creative. However, for this particular activity we are looking for you to write a poem as if you were a member of the flight crew, expressing how you felt when you landed safely in Christchurch, which by the way, is part of New Zealand :)
In order to earn full points for this activity please hop back online and complete the task as per instruction.
I'm looking forward to reading your updated post!
Kia Kaha,
Patricia
Hello Marieta
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing this summer learning journey activity. This is a very good letter but, like Patricia said, the activity said you had to write a poem. Keep up the excellent work Marieta!
