For today I had to make a letter to my Princable. I had to write a letter to him if I wanted to change some things. I did want to change some things. I wanted a 3 week holiday instead of 2. I think that kids theese days work very hard like Alex and Jack. Don't you think we should have a longer break. Here is my letter.
Hi Marieta,
ReplyDeleteYou picked such a good cause to fight for, it made smile. Being a teacher myself, I am also very sympathetic to the idea of 3 weeks holiday break instead of 2. However, you need to think about your parents also as in many case it's hard for them to take time off work to be with their children.
Your letter to the principal is good, because you clearly express your request and the reason why.
For the future, I would like that you do some research and find a clear guideline on how to write a letter. For example you should start like this:
'Dear Mr. Johnston,
I would like to suggest some changes in our school....'
Furthermore, is not advisable to finish a letter with an exclamation mark because it can give the impression that you are a bit bossy and that you are given an instruction rather than making a request. Perhaps, you could write something along these lines:
' I hope that you would consider my request.
Sincerely,
Marieta'
Overall a good job here!
I am looking forward to reading more of your posts!
