Duffy Book Assembly
Today we have had a visit from Jamie Wall. He is a sports commentator for the All Blacks. We came to talk to us about what he does for a living. Tomorrow he will be going to Japan for the world cup to report on the rugby for the Maori Television. A book that inspired him was called Men in Black of NZ rugby History. He told us that he kept reading the book so that one day if he got asked questions about the All Blacks he would already know the answer. One day a couple of people were looking for someone to be a sports commentator. He was asked to go and was asked a couple of question, using the knowledge from the book he got all of the questions right and got the job. The same thing happen a few years later but instead he was asked to write a book. He said it was challenging but at the end he got through it all. The book he wrote is called Brothers in black and it is New Zealand best selling book. After hearing his story it really inspired me to keep going and never give up. A big thank you to Duffy for providing the books for us, we are all happy with what we got and will be definitely reading them tonight.
