My Interesting Animal - Summer Learning Journey

Today for this activity I have created a DLO about flying fish. In this DLO there are two photos of what the flying fish look like and 5 fun facts. I choose this animal because it sounded really interesting and I never really knew about  flying fishes so this was a good chance to learn more about this animal. I learnt that they are 7 - 12 inches long.

  1. Hello there Marieta, my name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey team. It's fantastic to see that you've already completed so many activities. It looks like you're going to be finished in no time at all. Well done!

You've created a really easy to follow and easy to read DLO, excellent work!

I like that you've included some interesting facts about flying fish as well. Do you know how long they can fly for? That would be my question.

It must really freak out the seagulls when they are trying to catch fish and all of a sudden one of these guys glides by them.

Something else to think about; do crabs think fish can fly?

    Thanks, Billy.

    1. Hello Billy,
Thank you so much for your comment. I think that crabs dont think fish can fly. Do you think that flying fishes are incredible?

    2. Hello again Marieta, thanks for getting back to me.

Haha that was just a silly joke.

      I do think they're amazing.

Can you imagine the opposite though - a bird that can swim? Now THAT would freak out the crabs. They wouldn't know WHAT'S going on!

      Thanks, Billy

  3. Greetings Marieta!
Your DLO looks really cool. That's great to see that you have attributed your images! That's great you wrote in your blurb what you learnt.

Would you want to see a flying fish?

  4. Hi Marieta,
Well done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. I had no idea that there are 40 different types of flying fish. Which type is the most common? Which type is the least common? Keep up the awesome work.
