This week for day 4 of the Summer Learning Journey we are learning about Sir Edmund Hillary. Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mt Everest which is the tallest mountain in New Zealand. I get to pretend to interview Sir Edmund hillary and ask hime 5 questions, here are my questions:
1. Did you find it hard to climb Mt Everest?
2. What did you feel like when you climbed Mt Everest?
3. Why did you choose to go with Tenzing Norgay?
4. What was the proof you had to show people you had climpbed Mt Everest?
5. What was you favourite part about climbing Mt Everest?.

ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed catching up on all of your blog posts this morning. You have been really busy! I hope you are enjoying it because I’m loving reading your posts.
You have come up with some very insightful questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary. My favourite question is why he chose Tenzing Norgay as his sherpa (guide). It would be interesting to find out what lead him to pick Tenzing.
Do you think you would ever want to climb Mt Everest? If you were to do it, what supplies do you think you would need to take?
I can’t wait to read your list!

Greetings Izzy,
DeleteThankful for you kind comment. I would love to climb Mt Everest because I have never climbed a mountain and it would be an honor to climb the tallest mountain in NZ. On my trip I would take Gloves, Sleeping Bags, Rope, Warm Clothes, Torch, Helmet, A Ice Axe and lots of food.
Thank you,
Marieta
Hi Marieta,
ReplyDeleteI love the image that you've used. Your questions are very interesting. My favourite is number 4. What was your favourite question? Why? Did you enjoy doing this activity? I love the way that you have shared you learning with us.
Nice One!
Greetings Marieta,
ReplyDeleteSir Edmund Hillary didn't go by himself he had a partner and they went on Mt Everst together his name is called Tenzing Norgay, I found out this fact yesterday and I was surprised. That's great you used questions that came from your brain and you asked good questions but a few spelling mistakes. Would you use those questions and ask Sir Edmund Hillary but you changed your 1 or 2 spelling mistakes? Tell me why if you would or wouldn't?
Keep it up Marieta!

Hi Marieta,
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing this Summer Learning Journey activity. The questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary are great. I think that, because it was so tall, it was very difficult for Edmund Hillary to climb. He must have been very proud when he finally reached the end. Keep up the awesome work.
