Today for this activity I am to write down 5 things on how to be safe in summer to stop preventing skin cancer from the sun. Rates of skin cancer in NZ is really high. Here are my 5 opinions on how to safe in summer:
1. Use an umbrella to shade you while you are sitting down
2. Wear brimmed hats
3.Wear sunglasses
4. Add 1 teaspoon of sunscreen to each arm and leg
What a wonderful blog post that you've posted. I love the tips that you've listed for us. I also like it how you said Use an umbrella to shade you while you are sitting down, because I'd always do that whenever it's a sunny day. Do you do that?
Hello Marieta, thanks for completing another activity. It's Billy here again from the Summer Learning Journey team.
Well done on sharing five useful tips for staying safe in the sun this summer. They're certainly important and very practical ideas that anyone can use. It's super important to take shade and shelter in the day, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is at it's hottest.
What sort of fun, outdoor activities have you been enjoying?
Hi Marieta Well done on finishing this activity. Your tips on how to stay safe during the summertime are great. I like how you included measurements to say how much sunscreen you put on each part of your body. Keep up the excellent work.
